Heritage

For those who like their ancient history, this is where we came from. Park Human Resources (formerly known as PA Advertising) was established in 1964 as part of PA Consulting Group. In 1995, it was the subject of a management buyout by a team that included Simon Howard and Michael Warren. The company was re-launched as Park Human Resources in 1997, and then sold to the SHL Group plc in the same year. In 2000, Simon Howard, Michael Warren and Steve Halford launched work as a start-up company offering recruitment strategy and communications consultancy. And then, early in 2003, it all came together again when work acquired Park from SHL.

In October 2005 work acquired Armstrong Craven - Europe's largest executive research companies which now operates out of Manchester, London and New York.

In November 2006 the group acquired RCC HR the North West based recruitment and HR communications company. In November 2007 this company and the regional offices of work were integrated and a new office in Hale, Manchester was established.

Today, Work Group employs 260 people in 6 UK locations and an office in New York.
